How often do you scroll through the photos on your phone?

This morning marks a full year since the first time I woke up in my new apartment in Chicago! It's been a year filled with the expected and the unexpected, some ups and some downs, new horizons, and lots and lots of memories. I tried to pull a few of my favorite pictures from the last year and ended up with an album of over a hundred photos that make me smile ear to ear. Far too many to post or print. When's the last time you printed out some of your favorite photos and put them in frames or on a collage board?

observed: while setting up for a little party down by the beach in Laguna, I arrived early to claim our spot for the day, clean up a little, balloons, tablecloths, chairs, and all that jazz. When I arrived a homeless man nearby was clearly waking himself up with some morning drawing and taking in the ocean vistas.

I've started a few blogs over the years, and none of them have stuck...life has always been filled with a million other distractions, and I was never quite sure how to focus my many different interests and adventures into a single cohesive blog. I'm still not certain I've figured that out...but much like any adventure in life...the main thing is to, in the words of the lovely Meryll Streep, "start by starting."
