Once Around the Sun

Once Around the Sun

How often do you scroll through the photos on your phone?

This morning marks a full year since the first time I woke up in my new apartment in Chicago! It's been a year filled with the expected and the unexpected, some ups and some downs, new horizons, and lots and lots of memories. I tried to pull a few of my favorite pictures from the last year and ended up with an album of over a hundred photos that make me smile ear to ear. Far too many to post or print. When's the last time you printed out some of your favorite photos and put them in frames or on a collage board? I haven't had photos printed in awhile and it's time to pull those memories out of the digital and put them somewhere tangible, somewhere I can smile at their memories a little more often.

That first night in my new place I didn't have much other than an air mattress, but I was too mesmerized by the city lights and all the possibilities a new chapter brings to really care. I love New Year's Eve and birthdays as reasons to reflect back on the past year, but the anniversary of a new apartment is just as fun to think back on. I'm a bit of an over-photo-er...and it took awhile for me to scroll through a full year of photos. So many belly laughs from some of the random pics!

Here are a few snippets of some favorite moments from this last run around the sun (though not at all exhaustive...you'd be scrolling for days if I posted all my favorites!). Might be fun to get one of these HP mini printers to do this a little more often.
